Nandita Das invited by a Bengaluru-based jeweller for the launch of their showroom

While top jewellers are falling over their gold bars to get the stars read Amitabh, Aishwarya Rai, A R Rahman) to launch their bedazzling showrooms or be their brand ambassadors, a Bengaluru-based jeweller in the city decided to go the other way - all the way.
They invited actor Nandita Das, whose bling does not go beyond her wedding ring and a nose pin that she's been wearing since graduation, for the launch of their showroom.And being true to herself she spoke not about sparkling diamonds but more about work-life balance and how "men need to support women and pitch in with responsibilites at home". The jeweller was thanking his stars (not the Big B et al kind) that she did not run down ostentation.
