Price of curd

to go up

Prices of Nandini curd will be increased on Thursday. A 200 ml packet will cost Rs. 10; a packet of 415 gram will be Rs. 18, one kg packet will cost Rs. 39 and a six kg packet will be Rs. 228, according to the Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Union Ltd.

Two-day conference

Department of Mining Engineering, National Institute of Technology – Karnataka, Surathkal, will organise a two-day seminar on Friday. Surya P. Sethi, former principal advisor, power and energy and core climate negotiator for the Union government will inaugurate it.

Yakshagana training

Sujana Yakshagana Adhyayana Kendra will begin Yakshagana ‘natya’ training at Rangamane, Sullia from April 26. Sabbanakodi Rama Bhat will be the teacher. In addition, Yakshagana artistes Kolyur Ramachandra Rao, Surikumeri Govinda Bhat, Bannanje Sanjeeva Suvarna, Kumble Sundar Rao, M L Samaga, Devakana Krishna Bhat and others will train the participants on various aspects of Yakshagana. Silver jubilee celebrations

Chakrapani Nrithya Kala Kendra, Attavar, will organise a three-day programme to observe its silver jubilee from Friday. The programmes would be conducted at higher primary school, near Kasturba Medical College Hospital, Attavar. There will be various cultural programmes.

Books to be released

Two books will be released in the hall of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy at Lalbagh on Fridayat 3 p.m. The books are ‘Basel Missionarigala Tulu Tippanigalu’ and ‘Tulu Pravachanakare Yaksharanga Sadhake Kuber Mudal Puttanna Shetru’. The academy has published them, a release said.
