NAGPUR: Additional chief judicial magistrate, RB Patil, on Wednesday granted three-day forest custody remand (FCR) to notorious tiger poacher Sailesh Rakesh Singh, who was dramatically arrested on Tuesday night from Katni in Madhya Pradesh.
Sailesh (26), who has five children, was nabbed by the CBI sleuths while he was returning with a marriage party. His name was revealed by Kuttu Chhiyalal Pardhi, who was arrested on March 2 from Biruhali in Katni district.

During his custody with CBI, Kuttu had said that Sailesh was not only involved in poaching tigers but also trading their skins and body parts. Kuttu gang is feared to have poached at least six tigers in Bhandara and Wadsa.
Of these, two tigers were killed in Paoni and one was killed in Gaimukh near Lendezari forest. Kuttu was also involved in removing tigers from Umarzari, which was earlier with Forest Development Corporation (FDCM) and is now New Nagzira Sanctuary.
Sailesh was brought to Nagpur late night and produced in the court on Wednesday. The accused will be taken to suspected spots in Bhandara for verification. Sailesh admitted his role in poaching and blamed Kuttu for roping him in the crime.
