An attractive passing out parade of 358 recruits in Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) for constable post was held at the premises of KSRP 2nd Battalion Training School at Macche here on Wednesday.

BELAGAVI: An attractive passing out parade of 358 recruits in Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) for constable post was held at the premises of KSRP 2nd Battalion Training School at Macche here on Wednesday. Om Prakash, director general and inspector-general of police (DG & IGP) reviewed the parade.
Recruits who took training for nine months at the training schools at Belagavi, Shivamogga, Shiggaon and Vijaypur participated in the passing out parade.
“It’s a first time I am seeing such a large passing out parade of recruits divided into 12 platoons. The discipline exhibited in the passing out parade is the proof of quality of the training received by the recruits”, Om Prakash lauded, speaking on the occasion.
He said KSRP training school building at Kangrali (BK) near Belagavi, is almost ready in the cost of Rs 8 crores and next batch of recruits will take training at this school. Top cop hinted that, shortly the promotion process in KSRP will be finished which has been stalled since long time. Government has given green signal for the same, he said.
Later, he awarded the recruits who topped in different spheres of training. From Belagavi training school- Firoz Chorammanavar, Naveenkumar GS, Nagendrappa H and Prasannakumar KN were awarded. Awardees of Shivamogga training school are- Shivkumar C, Basavaraj Sagar, Raghavendra Rakunde and Nagendra MS. From Shigganvi training school- Rajapal Reddy, Mallikarjun Chouri and C Tippeswami. From Vijayapur training school- Shivanand Mangalur, Gurumurthy DH and Yakub Tamboli received awards.
ADGP-KSRP Praveen Sood, IGP-KSRP Malini Krishnamurthy, IGP (Northern Range- Belagavi) Umesh Kumar, Belagavi city police commissioner S Ravi, SP Ravikante Gowda were present.
