Anbazhagan, represented by senior advocate TR Andhyarujina and advocate VG Pragasam, had moved the Supreme Court in February challenging two separate orders passed by the Karnataka High Court.

In the first order dated February 5, the high court had dismissed Anbazhagan's plea to help the prosecution side while terming him as a "political opponent".

On February 11, the high court rejected his challenge against Singh's authority as special public prosecutor.

Meanwhile, another Bench led by Chief Justice HL Dattu will hear separate pleas by Jayalalithaa and other accused for extension of bail on April 17.
