Builder shot at for extortion

AHMEDABAD: Even as an extortion accused Jehangir Mulla is on the run in an offence registered in Ellisbridge area of the city, yet another incident of firing on a builder for extortion took place in Sarkhej- Juhaoura area of the city late on Tuesday night.
Police sources said two residents identified as Juhapura Alam and Altaf fired two rounds on a car near an under construction site on Sarkhej Makarba road.However, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Interestingly, the builder Firoze had lodged a complaint against the accused for threatening him just an hour before the incident of firing took place. With second complaint of extortion and use of fire arm in both the incidents the city police is now worried.
Police ifficials said they formed several teams to nab Alam and Altaf, who have a tainted history.
