Youth should drop caste in name: JP

April 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - HYDERABAD:

LSP founder president Jayaprakash Narayan has called upon youth to drop the caste tag such as Çhoudhary, Reddy, Naidu, Varma, Yadav and Goud along with one’s name.

Paying his tributes to Dr. Ambedkar here on Tuesday, Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan said that Ambedkar is the architect of the nation and a social reformer who fought against discrimination based on one’s birth in a particular caste.

Dreams of Baba Saheb Ambedkar will be realised only when a system is built to provide quality education. “We should strive to build a society that will assess a person’s capability based on his good work rather than by his caste,” he said.
