Rana Sanaullah and DCO Lahore Captain Usman took same stance before the JIT

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – DCO Lahore Captain Muhammad Usman and former Law Minister Punjab rana Sanaullah took similar stances during the investigations before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Tuesday, saying that the resistance by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers created a situation on June 17, 2014 that police was forced to fire.

Rana Sanaullah and DCO Lahore said that there was no plan to do an operation at that time. They said that the situation forced the police to open fire and lives were lost as a consequence.

It is pertinent to mention here that Rana Sanaullah has appeared before the JIT for the second time to get his statement recorded. Previously SP CIA Umar Virk had also got his statement recorded.

PAT headquarters were stormed by police last year on 17th of June and 14 people had died in a clash between the police and PAT workers.
