There are number of Bollywood actors who have acting in their genes. And to see them acting with their parents and siblings is an interesting experience. They bring their familial camaraderie to the screen and enhance the dramatic effect. Here are some of the films where real life families came alive on reel...

Kal Aaj Aur Kal (1971)

 
Prithviraj Kapoor was the patriarch of the Kapoor family that now spans four generations. Kal Aaj Aur Kal, an exclusive Kapoor family film, was one where the family wasn't just portrayed on screen but the production and direction was handled by the family members too. Where the Kal (yesterday) was played by Prithviraj Kapoor, the Aaj (today) was played by Raj Kapoor and Kal (tomorrow) was played by  Randhir Kapoor, according to their real life relations. Babita Kapoor, then Randhir’s to-be wife, played his lover in the movie. The appearance of the Kapoor family tree threw light on their family legacy in Bollywood.

Apne (2007)

 
Apne, as the name expresses, is a film about your loved ones. The three male Deols play their respective real life personalities in the movie. While Dharmendra plays a stern father, Sunny and Bobby Deol play his sons. The movie did exceptionally well in the north. The three Deols did not stop at this movie and acted together in the two-film comedy franchise, Yamla Pagla Deewana and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2.

Sarkar Raj (2008)
 

Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek play father and son in the movie, with a strong supporting role by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who played a business woman. Though Aishwarya and Abhishek were not directly related in the movie, they did share romantic interest towards each other, which is explained by the fact that after Abhishek’s death in the movie, she takes over his role as Sarkar.

Dabaang (2010)

 
As Robin Hood Pandey, Salman Khan essays a role of a loyal cop in the movie, while his brother Arbaaz Khan plays his rogue sibling. Malaika Arora Khan, who also belongs to the same family, appeared in the item number Munni Badnam Hui, which became a popular hit. The Khan couple, Arbaaz and Malaika, produced the film too.

Besharam (2013)


The three powerhouse actors Rishi, Neetu and Ranbir worked together in Besharam. While, Ranbir Kapoor plays a small time car thief, his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh attempt to nab him. Though Besharam did not do too well at the box-office, it made news because of the presence of the adorable family.
