Lakhvi walked out of a jail in Rawalpindi on Saturday

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Punjab government on Tuesday has challenged the release of 26/11 Mumbai attacks handler Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi’s in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP).

The government has maintained in the petition that the Mumbai terror attack trial could be affected due to Lakhvi’s release. The petition states that the court released him without seeing sensitive documents against him.

Earlier, Lakhvi walked out of a jail in Rawalpindi on Saturday after a court declared his detention illegal.
