Candice McDonough is leaving Warner Bros. to join the publicity team for Relativity Studios’ and EuropaCorp’s films, Variety has learned.

The publicity veteran has been named executive vice president of theatrical publicity at Relativity EuropaCorp Distribution. She was previously senior vice president of publicity and corporate communications at New Line Cinema and Warner Bros Entertainment.

McDonough will oversee publicity for the distribution company, which supports EuropaCorp’s film releases in the United States and Relativity’s slate.

She will replace Stacey Mooradian, who is leaving the company. Mooradian was named executive vice president of publicity at Relativity in 2013, having previously worked at Lionsgate and Miramax.

There is also expected to be a handful of layoffs in the marketing department of Relativity EuropaCorp.

McDonough had been at New Line since 2001. She moved under the Warner Bros. umbrella in 2008 when New Line became part of the studio. McDonough has also worked at HBO Films and CAA.

During her time at New Line, she worked on such films as “Wedding Crashers,” “We’re the Millers,” “Horrible Bosses” and “The Conjuring.”

“Candice has a terrific reputation with a long history of success working with top talent on renowned film publicity campaigns,” said Tommy Gargotta, president of theatrical marketing, Relativity EuropaCorp Distribution, in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the RED team as we look to continue to creatively raise the visibility of our films.”

She is the second member of Warner Bros.’ publicity team to leave in recent weeks. Adam Keen, who used to run publicity for Relativity before joining Warner Bros., left last month to join Broad Green Pictures.
