Bhopal feels chill in April, more showers in store

BHOPAL: Winds from west have induced rain and cold weather conditions, triggering light showers from Sunday night till Monday morning, resulting in significant drop of temperature.
Night temperature dipped by six degrees celsius in past two days, night temperature, which was recorded at 24 degrees celsius on Saturday, was down at 20.5 degrees celsius on Sunday.In 2013, lowest night temperature was recorded at 17 degrees celsius.
Met department has forecast further dip in night temperature.
In past 24 hours, city received 1.4 mm rainfall, Indore 5.6 mm, Gwalior 3.8 mm, Jabalpur 5.6 mm and Khajuraho 18.3mm of rainfall.

Change in weather conditions in next 24 hours is likely and Met department has issued warning of speedy winds of around 40-50 km/hour.
City recorded day temperature 12 degrees celsius below normal temperature at 25.8 degrees celsius and night temperature which was above 20 degrees celsius in past few days registered a dip and recorded 4 degrees celsius below normal temperature. Sunshine did made day hot and humid for short periods and cloud cover brought down day temperature.
There were partial clouds and few places witnessed dark cloud cover and same pattern is likely in next 24 hours.
City is likely to experience light showers and thundery activities.
Met department officials said southern parts of state are likely to experience hail in next 12 hours. The regions, which may get hail are Dhar, Barwani, Indore, Jhabua, Ratlam, Ujjain and Dewas.
Datia recorded highest day temperature at 38 degrees celsius in the state. Day temperature would remain around 25 degrees celsius and night temperature at 18 degrees celsius.
