Yallappa Dattu Kamble, the sitting member of the Belagavi Zilla Panchayat from Uchagaon in Belgavi taluk and member of the Education and Health Standing Committee, died of massive cardiac arrest in a hotel in Goa on Saturday night.
Kamble was also director of the Markandeya Sahakara Sakkare Karkhane Limited and two-time vice president and current director of the Pioneer Urban Co-operative Bank Limited, Belagavi.
He is survived by his wife and three sons.
The last rites were performed at his native Alataga on Sunday afternoon.
