February 2015: Latha (25), who was married to Siddalingesh, a real estate businessman, committed suicide due to alleged dowry harassment by hanging at her home in Vidyaranyapura.
October 2014: Pavitra (18) committed suicide at her house in Kogilu. She was married for just five months to Anil Kumar, a private firm employee.
August 2014: Susai Mary (29) committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at her residence in Vidyaranyapura. She was married to Don Bosco, a mason and the couple had two children. Bosco, who is a chronic alcoholic, used to come home every night in an inebriated state and fight with Susai Mary demanding money from her.
