Shivshakti plays the grown-up Bulbul in Diya Aur Baati Hum

Shivshakti Sachdev, better known as 'Bebo' in 'Sabki Laadli Bebo', will now play the grown-up Bulbul — Deepika Singh’s niece — in the TV show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'. The role is currently played by seven-year-old child artiste Lavneet Rajput. She will be introduced after the show takes a leap of seven years. The actress confirms, “ I will be playing a 17-year-old.”

Incidentally, the 22-year-old actress played a 15-year-old in her previous comedy show. She says, “When I go for auditions, people tell me that I don’t look my age.I look much younger. However, it’s not that I am playing a teenager at 25. I am just 22. I can easily relate to such characters.”
Shivshakti is playing a parallel lead in DABH. Having played lead roles before, we ask Shivshakti if she will miss playing a central character? “Not at all. As an actor, I love playing variety of roles and I am lucky to be offered such different characters,” she sums up.
