‘Suspicious’ accident

Stalin demands probe

April 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - CHENNAI:

Expressing shock over the “suspicious circumstances” of a road accident that claimed the life of a videographer assisting the Sagayam Committee, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin, on Saturday, hoped the High Court would ensure an impartial investigation into the matter.

In a statement, he said Parthasarathy, a videographer assisting the committee headed by U. Sagayam investigating the granite scam, died in a car accident under suspicious circumstances. Recalling past incidents where Mr. Sagayam was threatened through a letter, Mr. Stalin alleged the AIADMK government had shown intentions of shielding those involved in the scam.
