Poet O.N.V. Kurup presented the C.V. Kunhuraman Literary Prize to short story writer and social commentator Paul Zacharia here on Friday. The award presentation ceremony was held at ONV’s home as the poet is keeping indifferent health. The award, presented to Mr. Zacharia for his contribution to Malayalam language and literature and his significant intervention in key social issues, carries a cash prize of Rs.10,001, a citation and statuette. Among those present at the function were CPI(M) Polit Bureau member M.A. Baby and C.V. Kunhuraman Foundation secretary Hashim Rajan. — Special Correspondent
