When Robert Vadra came to the rescue of Lodhi Garden joggers

One often gets to hear stories of the VVIPs and their security entourage creating problems for the common man. But this news is actually the opposite.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, famous for his fitness regime that includes a run in Delhi's historical Lodhi Gardens, came to the help of joggers and walkers who use the venue early morning.

Vadra's security, which normally waits outside the park so as to not create hindrance for others using the facility, was approached by a few joggers for assistance as they spotted two unclaimed bags lying in the bushes near the jogging track.

The security detail, whose job is to clear Robert Vadra away from a place they sense danger in, immediately informed him of the suspicious bags and asked him to leave the park with them.

However, Vadra not only refused to leave the Lodhi Gardens but instructed his security to cordon-off the area where the bags were found and asked the security officers to immediately call the police.

On receiving the call from Vadra's security, ASI Surender Singh rushed to the spot.

After investigation it was found that the bags only contained mobile phones and documents. The police are investigating who owns the bags and the phones. the walkers and joggers sure felt a sense of relief, that a VVIP was there this time to assist them.
