Labasa market vendors cannot wait to move into the new market complex soon.

Market vendor Viniana Valeyauta of Vunivau in Labasa said the new market would mean more space and better environment to sell in.

“The only thing we are looking forward to in the new complex is the space to display our produce,” Mrs Valeyauta said.

“We want to bring more produce to the market, but the problem is the space. That is why we want the new market to open soon.”

Fellow vendor Lilieta Tusaravu echoed similar sentiments.

She said all market vendors wanted the market to be opened as soon as possible because of the dire need for space.

It is understood that work at the double-storey market complex has been completed.
