30-year-old hangs self

PATNA: A 30-year old man on Wednesday committed suicide, using his wife’s ‘dupatta’, at his house at Madrassa Gali at Samanpura under the Shastrinagar police station area in the city.
The deceased was identified as Niwas Kumar who worked as an assistant with a private pathological laboratory in Ashiana. His father Sandeshwar Singh said, “We live in separate houses in the same locality. He got married two years back and his was love marriage.He had a fight with his wife who went to her parents’ place before he committed suicide.”
The house was locked from inside and it had to be broken open. Shastrinagar police station SHO Ramesh Prasad Singh said police did not find any suicide note.
Students’ protest: A group of 60-odd girl students of the state polytechnic at Phulwarisharif held a demonstration outside the Vishveshwaraya Bhavan on Bailey Road, demanding better infrastructure and security in their hostel.
