Man caught with a country made weapon and live cartridge

AHMEDABAD: Special Operation Group (SOG) slueths arrested a man named Irafankhan Pathan, hailing from Uttar Pradesh and resident of Vatva with a country made gun and a live cartridge.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, SOG BC Solanki said they arrested Pathan on a tip off from Isanpur cross roads.
"During his interrogation it came to light that both Pathan and his father Abdul Rashidkhan are into making Plaster of Paris ceilings and brought the weapon from Uttar Pradesh" added Solanki.
However the cops could not trace the person from whom Pathan had bought the weapon as Pathan said he did not know the person from whom he had purchased the weapon said Solanki.
SOG officials said they are interrogating Pathan to find whether he is involved in any other offence or not.
"We have conveyed the message about the arrest of Pathan to different police stations and agencies to get his details" added Solanki.
