Shah Rukh-Kajol's DDLJ to stay in Maratha Mandir till October 2016

The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer epic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will remain in theaters till October 2016, informs a source close to Maratha Mandir.

The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer epic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will remain in theaters till October 2016, informs a source close to Maratha Mandir.
After running for over 1000 weeks, the film was pulled down from theaters in February. It resulted in massive public outcry and fans of the film signed a petition and submitted it to the theater owners.

The owners of Maratha Mandir have now decided on extending the film's run till October 2016, giving it 18 more months to be in the theaters.
Our source also adds that the film will complete two decades on October 20 this year and pulling off the film from Maratha Mandir on such a momentous occasion will dishearten fans.
The one-and-a-half-year breathing period has come as a welcome respite for romantics for whom DDLJ has a special place.
