TimeOut London asked a select group of Indian, British and American Bollywood experts to share their favourite Hindi movies and the list might shock you.

bollywood movies, top bollywood movies, top bollywood films, top 100 bollywood movies, timeout london list, sholay, ddlj, amitabh bachchan, shah rukh khan, salman khan, aamir khan, lagaan, pyaasa, guide, dev anand, best bollywood movies, best hindi movies, best hindi films, top hindi films Though amused and bemused, we are not convinced with the choices.

So, did you know ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’ is a better movie than ‘Swades’? And ‘Tashan’ and ‘Aiyyaa’ better than ‘Lootera’ and ‘Parineeta’? No? We also didn’t, but then there is a survey done by TimeOut London that enlists the Top 100 Bollywood movies of all time and claims so.

TimeOut London, which is an “ultimate guide to London”, as the site says, asked a select group of Indian, British and American Bollywood experts to share their favourite mainstream Hindi movies. The choices were then refined to select and name the Top 100 Bollywood movies of all time.

Though amused and bemused, we are not convinced with the choices for they name classics like ‘Satyam Shivan Sundaram’ below the likes of ‘Tashan’ and there are some names one can’t believe and accept to be in the list. And some names which deserved to be there like the classics of 70s and 80s – ‘Aradhana’, ‘Amar Prem’, ‘Abhimaan’, ‘Daag’, ‘Khilona’ and ‘Khamoshi’ – aren’t there.

We beg to differ.
