The R.V.V.K. Prasad annual awards function will be conducted at the ACA-VDCA stadium here on May 9. The RVVK Prasad Memorial Cricket Trust established in memory of the former Andhra Ranji captain and mentor of several talented young cricketers, is presenting the awards to talented cricketers of the district.
The awards would be presented to the players recommended by the Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association, trust convenor P.R. Narayanaswami said. .
Managing trustee of the trust and Union Minister for Civil Aviation P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju announced that R.V.Ch. Prasad (Kinnu), son of late RVVK Prasad and former Andhra Ranji cricketer, had been co-opted a trustee of the trust in the place of D.V. Subba Rao. Other members of the trust are D.V.R. Raju, R.V. Suneetha Prasad and Mr. Narayanaswami.
