Mohit Marwah is the latest Bollywood actor to become the brand ambassador for Provogue. As part of the launch campaign, he unveiled the brand’s new range of deodorants. Excerpts from a conversation with him:Several popular Bollywood actors have been associated with the Provogue. How does it feel to join the league? It is a good start. This is my first endorsement and I’m quite excited. Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Saif Ali Khan, Fardeen Khan...
these are the Bollywood actors who have endorsed the brand. This will be a great beginning for me, and I’m sure it will be a lot of fun. Also, I think I represent the youth and therefore, I feel privileged to endorse the brand.
What kind of benchmarks did you have in mind when you chose to associate with the brand? I had no specific benchmarks, but I loved the fact that the brand stresses on grooming for men. Women love men who smell great and so, my first campaign that promotes the brand’s deodorants was inspiring. I have always believed that like women, grooming is important for men too. And if I can promote that, why not?
READ: My cousin Arjun Kapoor and I, both think a lot: Mohit MarwahHow do you define fashion? Fashion is comfort. Before you step out of your boundaries and try to look stylish and keep up with the trend, comfort is important. If you are not comfortable wearing a particular piece of garment, then no matter what, you will never look stylish.
Are you happy with the way your career has shaped up? I think I have had a decent journey so far in Bollywood. My family has been very passionate about cinema. I am taking one step at a time, and everyone has to create their own journey. I am happy that my career started with a film like
Fugly and I’m excited to be able to do the kind of work that I would like to be part of.
