Cong to seek people’s support for kisan rally by pad yatras

District Congress committee would organize nine ‘pad-yatras’ (foot march) in different assembly segments of the city between April 12 and 18, to encourage people to attend party’s Kisan rally in New Delhi on April 19.
Party spokesperson Awadesh Tripathi said, “To ensure success of Delhi rally, Congressmen would take out foot march in Bara (April 12), Karchana (April 13), Meja and Handia (April 14), Koraon and Pratappur (April 15), Phulpur (April 16), Soraon (April 17) and Phaphamau (April 18).”
He further said that senior district leaders have pledged to make farmers aware of anti-farmer policies of the Union government so that more and more farmers attend the proposed rally.
Congress leaders said that the Union government was least bothered about the problems faced by the farmers. They also stated that Congressmen would soon take to roads against deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
