Niharika to lead Vidarbha junior hockey team at Natio

NAGPUR: Ace city forward Niharika Thakur will lead the Vidarbha junior women's hockey team in the 5th Junior National Hockey Championship slated to be held at Rajnandgaon from April 26 to May 5.
All the selected players have been asked to report on Thursday at the VHA ground at 4pm to joint secretary Pramod Jain, informed VHA secretary VK Trivedi here on Wednesday.
Vidarbha hockey squad: Niharika Thakur (captain), Shruti Bagde, Samiksha Mahakulkar, Bhakti Mehta (GK), Shraddha Bansod, Santoshi Sarote, Shiwani Khamele, Aishwariya Kumbhare (all Nagpur), Rupali Tirpude (GK), Monika Nagose (vice-captain), Manjusha Kinkar, Snehal Raut (all Yavatmal), Baljeet Kaur Digwa (Bhandara), Pallavi Mane, Shubhangi Harne, Pallavi Shegaonkar, Sakshi Jamnik (Amravati), Shahezadi Bano (Chandrapur).
Standbys: Priyanka Bagde (GK Amravati), Kalyani Bhilkar, Ashwani Choudhary (Nagpur), Yogini Bhoyar (Yavatmal), Sonam Gokhale (Bhandara).
