Jason Statham, the popular action hero and superstar got himself a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. And why not? The last movie he was starring in, Furious 7, amassed a record-breaking $143.6 million during its opening weekend. Statham hails from England, and apart from smashing bones on the silver screen, is also a trained martial artist and a world-class former diver in the real world.
The star’s newest acquisition was originally posted on Instagram April 3 by Ferrari USA, showing Statham posing with his grey F12 (above). He was also seen with his Italian thoroughbred in a picture (top) posted to Twitter by Ferrari Club Chile yesterday, on April 7.
The F12 Berlinetta matches the star’s eclectic energy – the 6,262 cc, naturally aspirated 65° V12 engine produces 740 PS (544 kW; 730 hp) at 8250 rpm and 690 N·m (509 lb·ft) of torque at 6000 rpm, making it the most powerful Ferrari road-car to date, only surpassed by the LaFerrari. This allows the F12 Berlinetta to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of over 350 km/h.
