Fingers crossed for more loose seals and posts from Bob Loblaw's law blog: the TV comedy Arrested Development about the dysfunctional Bluth family could return for a fifth season.

Speaking on Bill Simmons’ BS Report Podcast, the programme's co-creator and co-executive producer Brian Grazer said that more episodes were on the way.

"People are loyal to it. We’re going to do another 17 episodes, so stay tuned for more Arrested Development,” he said.

Simmons did not pursue this comment, focusing instead on Grazer's hit hip-hop drama Empire, which E4 yesterday announced they were bringing to the UK.

Arrested Development, whose co-star Jeffrey Tambor won a Golden Globe earlier this year for his role as a transgender woman in the Amazon-funded comedy Transparent, has enjoyed cult status since it first aired in 2003. It was cancelled in 2006, but later revived by the online platform Netflix, which released a fourth season in 2013.

The website Deadline points out that Grazer has not mentioned Netflix in conjunction with the new episodes, and Fox, which aired the show's original run, did not confirm Grazer's statement.
