Another female fetus found dumped in Talkatora

A seven months female fetus, second within 12 days, was found in Talkatora area. The fetus was lying at the Jalalpur railway crossing and was spotted by Randeep, owner of a model liquor shop. He informed police about the fetus dumped in a bag.

LUCKNOW: A seven months female fetus, second within 12 days, was found in Talkatora area. The fetus was lying at the Jalalpur railway crossing and was spotted by Randeep, owner of a model liquor shop. He informed police about the fetus dumped in a bag.
SO Talkatora Indirapal Singh told TOI “I checked at a private nursing home in the vicinity but could not find anything that could throw light on who threw it.” On March 27, a female fetus was found near the mini stadium in Talkatora area.

Gynecologist and leading activist working against female foeticide, Dr Neelam Singh said “These are examples of flouting the guidelines of MTP Act of 1971 that prohibits termination of pregnancy. Abortion has become very easy now, with prohibited medicines available over the counter.”
According to a data available with Childline, 35 newborn baby girls were found abandoned in the city between 2010 and 2015.
