He is the voice behind Rang Barse, Jumma Chumma, Shava Shava, Makhna and many other hit songs of the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Singer Sudesh Bhosale’s voice has often been mistaken for that of Big B’s; and taking this forward, the veteran singer has conceptualized an ode to the actor, Amitabh Aur Main, a musical tour which will kickstart from the city on April 10.

The delightful evening will feature the most popular songs and unforgettable dialogues of Amitabh Bachchan.
Sudesh will also team up with Pune’s very own band, Melody Makers, to create Big B’s magic on stage. “I have performed with Kishore da,Lata ji and all the other legendary singers in my 32-year-long career. As a tribute to my association with these great singers and actors, I decided to come up with this ode. And what better than beginning it with a tribute to Amitji, the real shahenshah of Bollywood,” shared Sudesh.
Few of Big B’s most iconic songs have been sung by Sudesh and so this tribute is sure to be a befitting one. “I remember, when Amitji first heard me sing, he was surprised with the similarity between our voices. Those days were a lot of fun.
Later, Amitji used to be present on all the recordings and would also give his inputs about the performances,” said Sudesh, who was introduced to Big B, by none other than actor Shashi Kapoor.According to the singer, Pune is the best city to inaugurate and begin this nationwide Bachchan tribute tour with. “Pune audience understands music. My first performance in the city was back in 1982, at the Bal Gandharva auditorium. I performed with my band, Melody Makers, which is also from Pune. Therefore beginning the tour from the city is most appropriate,” Sudesh added. It was because of Melody Makers, that the singer got his first break in the industry — when Asha Bhosale noticed him and introduced him to
RD Burman, who gave him the first break in 1986.
The veteran singer will be accompanied by his 21-year-old son Siddhant for this performance. Siddhant is also a trained classical singer, who has sung in several Marathi and Hindi movies. “He is a very good guitarist and we will perform at least three duets on stage. It is always good to see a father and son duo perform together,” said Sudesh. The tour includes 10 performances in major cities across India, this year. In Pune, the performances will be on April 10 at the Annabhau Sathe Auditorium, Bibvewadi, at 9 pm and on April 12 at Balgandharva Rang Mandir, at 9.30 pm. The grand finale of the series Amitabh Aur Mein will take place on October 10 at Shanmukhanand Hall, Mumbai.
