DHANBAD: Mystery surrounds the death of a Giridih-based 29-year-old Indian IT analyst, Pankaj Sao, who reportedly died after falling from the balcony of a third floor of apartment he was living in Sydney, Australia on April 2.
The deceased's family, including his parents, widow and elder brother, has described the death as 'a conspiracy hatched by his roommates'.

The family has also said that they are dissatisfied with the investigation process of Australian police and have appealed to the Indian Embassy and other government authorities to look into the matter.
"My brother was perhaps deliberately pushed down to his death by colleagues, with whom he was staying for the past few days in Sydney. He had altercations with his roommates, who were also working in the same project. His colleagues did not want him to work in the same company as he was likely to get a promotion soon", alleged elder brother, Pawan Sao on Monday.
"None of his roommates informed us about the incident. We were informed through other sources 11 hours of his death", said Amrita Guipta (25), the widow of the analyst, Pankaj Sao, a resident of Mirjaganj locality under Jamua block of Giridih district.
"We are not at all satisfied with the investigation process of the Australian police. According to them, my husband died while talking to me on the phone, which is baseless. We did not speak during or before the occurrence. In spite of our repeated pleas, the police there are ignoring the issue", Sao's widow alleged. "We have appealed to the Indian government to help bring the dead body back at our native place as soon as possible," she added.
The deceased's parents and brothers also met Giridih deputy commissioner, Mukesh Kumar Verma, on Monday and appealed to him to look into the matter.
"Nothing much can be done at the local level in this regard, but we will forward their application to the authorities concerned for further action", Verma told TOI.
