Xicato Expands Production Lines to Meet Growing Demand for XIM and XTM

Xicato, a leading manufacturer of intelligent light sources, announced today that it has expanded its XIM and XTM LED module production capabilities four fold with line expansion in the Philippines.

“Our facilities in San Jose, California and in Penang, Malaysia are all operating at full capacity and demand for our newest products continues to grow,” said Martin Lynch, vice president of manufacturing for Xicato. “We explored expansion opportunities globally and determined that we could best meet our objectives and best serve our customer base with new lines in the Philippines.”

XIM and XTM were introduced in 2014 after the company expanded in San Jose and added a manufacturing line there and increased testing facilities. San Jose will continue to serve as the pilot line for new product development and innovation.

The new production lines will not only support the increased demand for XTM modules, but will serve as the assembly and integration center for current and future intelligent module platforms. “The market response to our XIM modules has exceeded expectations and we plan to build on early successes with additional features and functionality,” said Menko Deroos, CEO of Xicato. “We couldn’t be more excited with the infrastructure we are putting in place and where we are headed with intelligent modules.”
