The Kazhakuttam police on Monday arrested Ajeesh, alias Korea Kochumon, 30, of Kalpana Colony in connection with an attempt to murder case at the colony late Sunday night. The police said Ajeesh, an accused in various cases, had hacked Sujan, 40, also of the same place, around 10.30 p.m. on Sunday. Sujan is also an accused in various cases. He sustained grievous injuries on the head and neck in the attack and is battling for his life in the intensive care unit of the Government Medical College Hospital here.
