With Rajasthan Royals not playing any games at their home venue of Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, for the second year running, mentor Rahul Dravid said that the team will miss playing in Jaipur. RR will be playing all their games of IPL 8 in Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

"Ahmedabad and Mumbai are home. We will miss playing at Jaipur. We are more used to conditions there, but we are excited to play at CCI (Brabourne Stadium). We are looking forward to playing exciting cricket. The (RR) squad is good. It's nice to have whole squad here after the World Cup. Congratulations to Aussie boys for winning," said Dravid, who, along with captain Shane Watson, Ajinkya Rahane and Steve Smith unveiled RR's new jersey at the Cricket Club of India on Monday.

Dravid, who faced a very tumultuous phase as RR captain when his team members were caught in the IPL spot-fixing scandal two seasons ago, also called for stricter laws, even criminal, to be put in place by the country's lawmakers to deal with this issue in IPL.

"Irrespective of whoever is in charge of IPL, one of the most important things is that we need to have stricter laws that deal with issues like match fixing, spot fixing," said the former India captain. "And there should be consequences when people make mistakes and are proven guilty."

"We need to have those laws in place that in the long term act as a deterrent. For anything like robbery, theft and cheating there are laws and strict consequences [for breaking them]. Those consequences need to happen from lawmakers. You need to go into areas of [these things] almost to be treated as a criminal offence. That's my belief," said Dravid.
