Fighter jets bombed positions of suspected militants in the Dwa Toie area of Tirah Valley where militants loyal to Lashkar-e-Islam chief Mangal Bagh Afridi are holed up. According to local sources, several hideouts were decimated in the air raids that also left at least nine militants dead.

Meanwhile, two soldiers who received critical wounds in a militant ambush on a military convoy in the Kasha area of Lower Orakzai and were flown to the CMH in Kohat expired on Sunday, while the body of another soldier was also recovered from the site of the attack.

According to reports, the convoy was en route to Hangu district from the Ghaljo area of Upper Orakzai Agency when it was ambushed near the Oat Maila area in Kasha.
