Flag March held in city

LAHORE - Officials of police headquarters and Mujahid Squad jointly held a flag march on different areas in the city on Sunday.
SP Headquarters Umer Saeed supervised the march which started from  Police Lines Qilla Gujjar Singh and concluded at the same place after passing through Railway Station, Ghari Shahue, Mughalpura, The Mall, District Kuchery, Bhatti Gate, RA Bazar and Factory Area.
Meanwhile,SP Mujahid Squad Mukhtar Hussain led the flag march which started from Qurban Lines and concluded at the same place after passing through different areas of the city.
About 37 vehicles, 40 motorcycles and 300 officials of Elite participated in the both marches.
The aim of the marches is to maintain law and order and provide a sense of protection to the masses.
Meanwhile, CCPO Capt (r) Muhammad Amin Vains and DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf Sunday visited different churches in the city on Easter.
During their visit, they met administration of the churches and reviewed security arrangements.
The DIG Operations said police made foolproof security arrangement and six SPs, 35 DSPs and 83 SHOs besides 5,000 policemen had performed duty on the Easter. He said 550 churches, 153 Christian localities and 15 Christian graveyard were in the city which were distributed in three categories.
