Three teachers held for outraging girl students’ modesty

AKOLA: Rajan Gajbhiye and Shailesh Ramteke, science teachers at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya here, were arrested in Nagpur on Friday midnight. They were produced before a special judge who remanded them to four days’ PCR.
Sandeep Ladkhedkar, the third teacher, was also arrested on Friday night. The teachers were placed under suspension with immediate effect as per the order issued by SS Divakar, deputy commissioner of Navodaya Vidyalaya Committee, Pune.

Advocate Sungota Bhakre, member of child welfare committee, Akola, noted the statements of some girl students who had complained of outraging their modesty.
Ranjit Patil, minister of state for home (urban), visited the school on Friday and took stock of the situation.
