Lajwanti Medical Trust organizing “teach the teacher prog in Oncology”

JAMMU, Apr 3: Lajwanti Medical Trust through its hospital (IOGCS) is organizing “national initiative to teach the teacher programme in Oncology” from tomorrow at Hotel Asia.
Members of the national faculty derived from various fields of specialty of Oncology, local health professionals and prominent citizens are going to participate in the programme, which is being organized in collaboration with Jammu AGOI Chapter.
The organizers will present the strategy for management of cancer patients in low resource settings. The programme will be an effort to bind all health professionals to disperse cancer care together to serve the common goal of making a difference in the cancer care service being provided to the people.
“To keep pace with rapidly evolving science, technology, knowledge and techniques over the course of a long career, oncologists need a trusted partner to teach them what they need to know in the way they prefer to learn”, convenor Dr Kasturi Lal said, adding “there should be principle source of knowledge and skills and there should be agencies which have the requisite experience with testing and validating what works in Oncology education and have access to top faculty and latest technology”.
The participants will renew their existing skills and improve their ability to practicing new things, driven by a commitment for lifelong learning trying to create a future, which is driven by innovation and indigenous research enabling the local specialist to be the best provider of cancer care.
