Women safety

Femina Run for a Cause aims at bringing to light different issues ailing our society and bring like-minded people together to support a cause. In it's first edition last year, more than 1000 people participated in the run, to show their support for the girl child. The money raised as part of the run was donated to Save Our Sisters, an initiative of Save the Children India that works to prevent trafficking of women and children for commercial sexual exploitation.

In its second edition, the run, to be held on March 22 in Pune, would bring to the forefront the issue of women’s safety. With the belief that the first step towards any change is to sensitize and mobilize the general public into collective action, everyone who participates in the Femina Run for Cause will take an oath to make Pune a safer place for women.

The money collected via registration will be used towards making Pune a safer city for women. To encourage our endeavor the, Respected Commissioner of Police Shri Satish Mathur has confirmed his presence as the Honorable Chief Guest to flag off the marathon. Keep checking this space for more updates.
