A candid chat with the fashion designer about what makes Bengaluru his favourite city. Khosla says he'd definitely remove the 11-pm party deadline on weekdays.

If you were the dictator of Bengaluru, what is the first thing you will do?

I would build Bengaluru like an international city which is not filthy and does not shut down. First, I would make proper roads and clean up Bengaluru. And then, I would definitely remove the 11-pm party deadline imposed on weekdays here. Why should a city have a timeline at all! People are wise enough to know where to draw the line. We cannot party every day till 5 am. We all work!.

    What makes Bengaluru tick?

NIt is only the people of Bengaluru that make the city tick. The infrastructure of this city is way too normal.

What is your favourite Bengaluru moment?

A Bengaluru has played venue to several top music concerts. These concerts make my favourite Bengaluru moments. Only our city in India has played stage to all the top bands of the world. We have had some memorable concerts by Pink Floyd, Elton John and Rolling Stones.

Who is your favourite Bengalurean? Why?

My favourite Bengalurean has to be businesswoman Kiran Mazumdar Shaw because she pushes for the . right things. She pursued the 1-am party deadline extension and got it done. Besides running a hugely successful business, she takes active part in the development of this city.

If I had my way, I would make Kiran the chief minister of Bengaluru. We would have great infrastructure and never face tragedies like that of the recent IAS officer's death probe.Plus, Kiran is apolitical.

If not Bengaluru, which city? And why?

II would live in Delhi for it is a happening city in every way culturally, design-wise and good infrastructure too. It is the fashion capital of India. Delhi has ten times more weight than Bengaluru. Goa is lovely too.It is great for a holiday but I don't think I want to live there.
