GREATER NOIDA: More than three weeks after Bollywood actor and model Sonal Chauhan's house was burgled in Greater Noida, police on Thursday claimed to have cracked the case by arresting five men, all residents of Delhi's Jahangirpuri area.
Jewellery and Sonal's Miss World Tourism crown worth Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 1.2 lakh cash have been recovered from the burglars who were nabbed from ATS roundabout in Greater Noida, the cops said.

"Acting on a tip-off that some suspected burglars would gather near ATS roundabout, a police team reached the spot right on time and managed to arrest all the five, part of a gang, who had come there on Thursday," SP (rural) Brijesh Singh said.
During sustained interrogation, the five — identified as Chandan, Hemraj, Brijendra Dubey, Praveen Dubey and Anil Dubey — admitted to committing the burglary at Sonal's house on March 12, he said, adding that at least 10 criminal cases have been lodged against them.
"All the gang members are in their early thirties. The recovered jewellery is around Rs 1.5 crore, taken into account the estimated price of Miss World Tourism crown. Rs 1.20 lakh cash has also been recovered from their possession," Singh said.
Sonal was abroad and her mother Shivani Chauhan and sister-in-law Stuti Chauhan had gone to the market when the thieves broke in the Chauhan's single-storey house in Sector Beta-2 on March 12. Her father Raghuraj Singh Chauhan, a former cop, and her brother Vikram had gone to their native place at Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh at the time of the burglary.
Sonal's brother Vikram told TOI, "The police have done a great job."
