SURAT: A 24-year-old married woman has accused three persons of raping her. She has also charged wife of an accused with abetting the crime. No arrests have been made in the case so far.
The complaint registered at Limbayat police station says that the survivor was raped twice on March 18 and 26 by Babloo Chaubey of Kailash Mansarovar Society of Limbayat along with Raju and Sarvesh Upadhayay of Dindoli.
The act was abetted by Chaubey's wife Anshu.
The woman, a house maid, has alleged that taking advantage of her loneliness during night hours when her husband was not home, the accused drugged her by adding an intoxicant in a soft drink and assaulted her.
She said that the accused threatened her with dire consequences if she told about the assault to anyone. They also allegedly threatened to kill her son.
Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) R L Patel, who is investigating the case, said, "We have sent the victim for medical examinations. Once that report comes in, we would take appropriate action." He said the investigation would be done by Thursday.
