Barkha Bisht to play Hanuman's mother in her first mythological show

Barkha Bisht was last seen as teenager Ashnoor Kaur's mother in the TV show Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne. The actress will repeat the act, but this time around, in her first mythological show -Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman. She will play mother to Hanuman. "I am assuming I will be a younger mother," she laughs, adding, "I accepted it for two reasons. Hanuman is a lovable mythological character popular among kids and I had not attempted this genre before."

Ask her if she will be comfortable playing mother to the grown-up Hanuman (played by Mahabharat's Dushasana, Nirbhay Wadhwa) and she replies, "Honestly , I don't know if I will be part of the show once Hanuman grows up." Barkha was also offered a fiction show -apparently an adaptation of Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns -with Hasan Zaidi, her co-actor from her previous show."I had signed the contract, but had to opt out because of creative differences," she says.
