New endurance triathlon launches in Canberra

Canberra professional Michelle Wu has launched a national triathlon series event that will be staged in the capital on December 12-13.

The T3X Endurance Series will include six event categories, climaxing with the a 154km triathlon – the only International Triathlon Union regulation distance race in Australia.

The course, which will take in many of the city's landmarks, comprises a 4km swim, 120km ride and 30km run.

"The T3X Endurance Series is the perfect event for those looking to explore their limits," Wu said.

Other events held over the weekend include the Canberra Triathlon, over 77km; the Canberra Summer Marathon; 5km and 10km open water swim; and a cycling road race.
