JODHPUR FLAMENCO & GYPSY FESTIVAL


When: April 3.5, 2015 Where: Jodhpur The second edition of Jodhpur Flamenco & Gypsy Festival 2015 will be held at the historic Mehrangarh Fort. This year, artistes from Spain, Italy and Turkey will participate and the focus is to bring the performers or rather gypsies from around the world who excel in flamenco on a common stage. With live music by renowned artistes including Rajasthan Roots from Jaipur, the festival will create a fusion of melodies that will have the essence of the gypsy culture of Rajasthan in its core vibrancy. This synthesis of Flamenco and Rajasthani music honours the gypsy history of the region while breaking musical boundaries, thus creating an exciting and unique musical festival that adds to the progression of the gypsy tradition.

INDIA FASHION WEEK

When: Till March 29, 2015 Where: Pragati Maidan, New Delhi India Fashion Week, which kickstarted yesterday is attracting Delhifs fashion-conscious at the Pragati Maiden venue. This event is slated to have leading designers showcase their collections on ramp, right till March 29. Fashion Design Council of Indiafs five-day fashion week intends to live stream the fashion week on their sponsor website. This event also draws many international buyers to Delhi from overseas.

MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX 2015


When: March 27-29, 2015 Where: Kuala Lumpur The Malaysian Grand Prix, first included in the Formula One World Championship in 1999, is held at the Sepang International Circuit at Sepang, Malaysia. Racing in Malaysia has existed since the 1960s and the destination now has a circuit worthy of hosting both the F1 and FIM Motorcycle Grands Prix and one which raises the standards for all other circuits. The Grand Prix is considered a big event by racing enthusiasts to witness.

When: April 13-15, 2015 Where: Thailand Thailandfs massively popular Songkran Festival held in celebration of the new solar year is like a nationwide water play. Originally, families and friends celebrated Songkran by visiting temples and pouring water on each otherfs hands and Buddha statues as a blessing, to start the year filled with good luck. Though these traditions continue, over the years, people have started to engage in water fights on the streets . a welcome form of relief given that April is the hottest month of the year. Thailand's New Year celebrations are well known and attracts tourists from around the world, Songkran is also celebrated in Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos.
