Chariot festival a huge draw

The much awaited chariot festival — Rathotsavam — turned out to be a huge draw with a large number of devotees thronging to drag the flower-bedecked chariot on the penultimate day of the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy here on Wednesday. Tastefully decorated deities of Sri Kodandarama, His Consort Seetha and Lakshmana were seated on a high pedestal throne of the chariot while thousands of devotees, who converged at the point, dragged the majestic wooden chariot along the four mada streets of the temple.
