Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. visits Wild Card gym to 'share thoughts' on May bout

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. dropped by the Wild Card gym where Filipino boxing champ and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao is training for his May 2 fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

 

Gooding, known for his Academy Award-winning role in "Jerry Maguire," said the two fighters have "captured the consciousness" of the world.

 

"They've captured the consciousness of not just America but the world. Everybody wants to see this fight. It's about damn time," he said in a video tweeted by Pacquiao early Thursday, PHL time.

 

Pacquiao said Gooding dropped by the Wild Card gym in Los Angeles to "share his thoughts" about the upcoming super fight. — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
