A new Party chief of the capital of Shandong Province was appointed on Wednesday, completing a revamp at six provincial regions where the anti-corruption campaign took down top regional leaders.

Wang Wentao, the newly-appointed Party chief of Jinan, used to be the Party chief of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, the China News Service reported. The city of Jinan has been without a city Party chief since its former Party chief, Wang Min, was investigated in December 2014.

Five other provincial regions including Shanxi and Zhejiang provinces, have seen head reshuffles at capitals. Media reports said that the new Party chiefs were often transferred from other cities or provinces to prevent corruption.
