Agra lucky to have Taj Mahal: Cuban Vice-President

The Cuban leader said that even during his return flight, he will continuously think of the Taj Mahal and will feel refreshed when he lands in Cuba.

Cuban Vice-President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermºdez Mario has termed the Taj Mahal as the world's most beautiful building and has expressed a return visit to the monument with his wife on his next trip.

Talking to India Today, the Vice-President, who had arrived in Agra with his 16 member entourage, said the Taj Mahal is the world's heritage and there is no way a man could view it only once and be satisfied for life.

"Whatever I had heard and read about the Taj Mahal is nothing compared to the sight before me. The people of Agra are lucky to have this building in this city. This sight alone released all the strain I was feeling from the long flight from Cuba to India, he said, adding that even during his return flight, he will continuously think of the Taj Mahal and will feel refreshed when he lands in Cuba.

The Cuban Vice-President was welcomed in Agra by District Magistrate Pankaj Kumar and Senior Superintendant of Police Rajesh D Modak.
